Jargon

Once you are in Second Life you might notice people talking around you. Not everyone comes into SL fluent in IM speak so I will try to break down some of the more common acronyms you will need to know.
ty = thank you
yw = you're welcome
brb = be right back
bbl = be back later
wb = welcome back
hb = hurry back
ttyl = talk to you later
stfu = shut the %*!# up!
wtf = what the &^%$?
noob = new person to the game
toon = your character
alt = other characters you might have
port = teleport
L = linden dollar
