Second Life is a virtual world in which you can do, be, and create nearly anything you can think of. Fly, swim, teleport anywhere... live in a cloud, be a banana, hang out with friends in 5 other countries at once... Get a job, start your dream business, or open a storefront for a business you already run. The only limits are your imagination. 

Within Second Life there is a complete economic and social system. Some areas are nearly identical to real life environments or mimic historical events. Other areas are completely fantasy based and might even go to extremes of limiting your speech, movement, appearance or more.
