No traffic in Second Life!

While I was sitting at a dead stop for over an hour on I-5 today, I realized a major bonus to conducting business, conferences, school, etc online... no traffic! I hate commuting. I have yet to meet anyone that likes commuting. Maybe some people don't mind it if they have a nice wi-fi laptop and ride the bus that stops in front of their house and their work, but I hate it. I dusted the crevices in my dashboard for 20 minutes, spit-shined my rear view mirror for 5, imagined what would happen if I just started pushing other cars out of my way during all of my cleaning... All these jobs that require people to work on a computer, connected to a server, with pdfs in paperless environments... why the heck are these people clogging the roads? Because big businesses have yet to embrace technology. Get on the boat already.

Not that I really want to communicate only through my avatar, it's nice to have actual human contact, but driving for 3 or more hours a day... give me a break. That is time that could be spent with friends and family. My co-workers really are not worth the commute. Are yours? Ask your boss if he/she really likes seeing your post-traffic glare that much. How much time do you spend out of your day griping with co-workers about traffic? That could be productive, multi-tasking time in your pajamas.
